Took a day trip down the Cape Shore to do a bit of exploring. The first stop was Point Lance, which has a great sandy beach. It seems like a bit of an undiscovered gem, there was hardly anyone there. Great spot to have a splash in the waves and a lunch though.
Recently spent a weekend in Hearts Desire. There was a thick haze due to the smoke from the forest fires in Labrador but we had a great time anyway. Its a great little town with a lot of hiking trails nearby and awesome scenery. Here’s a few photos.

Saw a baby humpback jumping at Cape Spear today.
Going through some old shots and came across this one I liked. Shot last Labour Day weekend in Heart’s Desire. I lit this inside with a flashlight and there was a full moon so its pretty bright. The shed has since fallen down.
We decided to head out to Cape Spear for Canada Day. We had a great day and got treated to about a half dozen whales swimming around the cape.
We took a few days and went up to Twillingate, stopping at Bellevue Beach Campgrounds on the way. Bellevue is one of our favorite places but it was far too windy and cold to do much.
